JORDAN LAKE JOURNEYS
Jordan Lake Journeys offers scenic pontoon boat wildlife tours to fit your budget and schedule. All journeys include bottled water or soda, and a variety of chips. You may bring your own picnic basket if you like. You'll get a chance to see aquatic life such as crayfish up close and learn Jordan Lake and Cape Fear River history. View wildlife like bald eagles, ospreys, herons and other aquatic birds.
2.5 hours to cruise some of the lake's 180 miles of shoreline. See the dam area and learn about the lake and NC river basins. Price: $150 for up to 4 guests, extra guests $30 each. Boat capacity is 11 guests Journeys run: 9am, 12pm and 3pm daily.
2 hour sunset tour from 6-8pm to enjoy a beautiful North Carolina sunset on Jordan Lake. $125 for up to 4 persons, extra guests $30 each. Boat capacity is 11 guests. Departure times vary as the days get shorter as fall arrives.
JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE LAKE
4 hour tour to explore more of Jordan Lake's 180 miles of shoreline. Journey covers the dam area and, Haw River side, New Hope River around where US #64 bridge crosses the lake toward Farrington. Price: $275 for up to 4 guests . Extra guests $50 each. Boat capacity is 11 guests.
2 hour Nightime Meteor viewing tours during July, August and October. No light pollution on the lake ensures a great view if local conditions are right. $125 for up to 4 guests. Extra guests $30 each. Boat capacity is 8 guests.

Jordan Lake, located between Raleigh, Durham and Sanford, is a 14,000 acre man-made lake used for flood control, recreation, and water supply. Our journeys are tailored to fit your budget and schedule. We give you a chance to get on the water with family, friends or neighbors and relax and see the amazing wildlife and unspoiled views that Jordan Lake has to offer. We operate DAILY tours from Moncure NC, Poe’s Ridge Boat Ramp, near the southern end of the lake. New for 2019, JLJ will offer meteor shower night tours in July, August and October when those celestial events occur and weather permitting. JLJ provides lake tours for:

Jordan Lake was built in the late 1960’s and 70’s and impounded by the Haw and New Hope Rivers in 1982. Since then, Jordan Lake has turned into a true jewel to become one of the top lakes on the East Coast for viewing aquatic birds and wildlife. You’ll have a chance to see a wide variety of wildlife like bald eagles, herons, ospreys, ducks, and other waterfowl and sometimes mammals. No commercial development or homes on the lake (except one marina) means unspoiled views of beautiful sky, flora and fauna, and lots’ of open sparkling water!
